For once we leave the famous routes on the 4000ers of the Jungfrau area behind, and head towards some mountains whose heights don't quite reach that magic number. The Grimsel Haute Route takes us to many such summits that have nearly been forgotten. The Bächli and Gauli areas are pristine and remote areas, perfect to get away from it all. We climb the Rosenhorn as the highlight of the week, from where we enjoy unique views to the nearby Schreckhorn area. The descent takes us to the Gleckstein hut, situated high up in some beautiful scenery.
Day 1
Meet at the Rätrichsbodensee lake and hike up to the Bächlital hut at 2328m.
Day 2
We cross the upper Bächilücke and head over to the Gauli hut at 2205m.
Day 3
Ascent of the Ewigschneehorns 3329m.
Day 4
We cross the Rängenhorn 3259m and descend to the Dossen hut at 2663m.
Day 5
Traverse of the Rosenhorn 3689m and descent to the Gleckstein hut.
