Before you book

Ability level and physical fitness
At the start of each trip descrition there is a short table with the ability level of the trip and the level of physical fitness required. This allows you to assess yourself and choose a suitable trip. If you are not sure if a trip is right for you, please contact us! We are happy to help!

Weather
In the mountains there can be extreme weather and snow conditions. Two to three days prior to the start of the trip, we check the weather forcasts and conditions in the area. We will inform you immediately if we have to change anything.

Travel arrangements
The meeting points for our trips are usually easily reached by public transport. In the detailed program you will find ideal train connections from Bern, Basel and Zürich. On a few of our trips we use our own mini bus.

Accommodation
We spend the nights in mountain huts, mountain guest houses and hotels. If possible we use double/ twin rooms. In mountain huts there are duvets or blankets available. We recommend you bring a sleeping bag liner, in some mountain huts the use of a sleeping bag liner is compulsory.

Booking deadline
The following deadlines apply: Hotel trips: up to 3 weeks prior to the start of the trip, all other trips: 1 week before the start of the trip. Please book as soon as possible, the only way we can guarantee you best accommodation.

After your booking
You will receive a reservation confirmation as well as a detailed program with all the important facts, such as meeting points, accommodation, telephone numbers, etc. It also comes with a list of equipment tailored to the tour. The reservation confirmation must be signed and returned to us. If you like to rent some equipment from us you can use the order form enclosed to make a reservation.

Discount for Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) members
SAC-members and members of other alpine clubs with reciprocal rights benefit from a reduction of CHF 8.00 per night in SAC huts. The discount is taken into account when billing the trip.
