The Monte Rosa massif is a classic alpine ski touring area. It is fascinating to ski amongst these mighty summits and wild glacier terrain. Before we set our aim on the Dufourspitze summit, we take a little detour to the southern slopes for a few warm up and acclimatisation tours.
Day 1
Meet at Zermatt and ski up to the Monte Rosa hut 2795m.
Day 2
We cross Ludwigshöhe 4341m and travere to the Italian Mantova hut 3470m.
Day 3
Ascent of Signalkuppe 4554m, ski descent to Monte Rosa hut at 2795m.
Day 4
Ascent of Dufourspitze 4634m- the high light of the week.
Day 5
We cross over the Weisstor pass at 3609m and ski down to Saas Grund. Departure.
Treffpunkt
Our mountain guide will meet you at the train station in Zermatt at 10.15am.
